PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER, FOUNDER, & MTP CERTIFIED COACH

My journey into mental health has always been rooted in one simple belief: people deserve to feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood.

With more than 20 years in healthcare, I've had the privilege of caring for individuals across a wide range of medical and psychiatric settings. Those experiences taught me that while symptoms are important, they rarely tell the whole story. Behind every diagnosis is a person with unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals.

That belief is what inspired me to create Bren Collective.

I wanted to build a practice where patients never feel rushed, where questions are welcomed, and where meaningful relationships are just as important as evidence-based treatment. I believe the most effective care comes from taking the time to understand not only what someone is experiencing, but why—allowing us to develop a treatment plan that is thoughtful, collaborative, and individualized.

I have a special passion for supporting individuals living with chronic illness, helping people better understand the connection between physical and mental health, and empowering youth athletes to build confidence, resilience, and mental strength both in competition and in life.

Whether you're seeking answers, navigating a difficult season, or simply looking for a provider who will truly listen, my goal is for every patient to leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead.
When you come to Bren Collective, my hope is that you’ll never have to wonder if I’m listening.

Some of life's greatest challenges aren't physical—they're mental and emotional. Whether it's navigating overwhelming stress, recovering from trauma, performing under pressure, or finding your footing after life's unexpected turns, everyone deserves support from someone who is fully invested in their journey.

Throughout my career, I've cared for individuals during some of the most critical and vulnerable moments of their lives. From emergency medicine and orthopedics to hospice, home health, and healthcare leadership, those experiences have reinforced one belief: meaningful care begins by understanding the person behind the circumstances.

Today, I continue to serve as an Emergency Department and Orthopedic Registered Nurse while pursuing my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree. My passion lies at the intersection of mental health, resilience, and performance—helping individuals develop the mindset and emotional strength needed to navigate adversity with confidence.

As a former Army Combat Medic, lifelong athlete, and baseball and softball coach for more than 20 years, I've seen firsthand how pressure, expectations, setbacks, and identity can shape both performance and well-being. These experiences have fueled my passion for working with athletes, first responders, healthcare professionals, and other high-performing individuals who often carry more than others realize.

Whether you're striving to perform at your best, working through burnout, or navigating a difficult season of life, my goal is simple: to provide a space where you feel understood, supported, and equipped with the tools to move forward with confidence.
We believe meaningful mental health care begins with understanding the person before the symptoms.

No two people share the same story, which is why we don't believe in one-size-fits-all treatment. We take the time to understand your experiences, your strengths, your challenges, and your goals so that every treatment plan reflects you—not just a diagnosis.

Our approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and rooted in genuine human connection. Medication may be an important part of treatment for some individuals, but it is never the whole story. We consider the many factors that influence mental health, including life experiences, physical health, stress, relationships, lifestyle, and the skills that help people navigate life's challenges.

Above all, we believe people make the greatest progress when they feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care. Our goal is to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and develop the confidence to move forward with lasting change.

The heart behind bren collective

Finding the "why" Behind the Symptoms

I created Bren Collective with a deep belief that mental health care should go beyond simply treating symptoms. Every individual has a unique story, and I am passionate about understanding the underlying factors contributing to emotional and mental wellness challenges in order to provide thoughtful, personalized care.

Creating a More Personalized approach to mental health care

Too often, individuals feel unheard, dismissed, or reduced to a diagnosis. Bren Collective was created to provide compassionate, individualized care that recognizes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental wellness. My goal is to create a space where patients feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood.

Supporting emotional wellness in young athletes

I have witnessed firsthand the emotional pressures many young athletes face and the lack of mental health support available to them. Bren Collective was built with a passion for helping children and adolescents develop confidence, resilience, emotional balance, and healthy coping skills both on and off the field using the Mental Training Plan approach.
